In line with the cultural programme during his working visit to the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Dr. Patrick Herminie, visited a number of historical and cultural sites in Moscow, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Seychelles, Artyom Kozhin.
The programme included visits to the Diamond Fund and the Moscow Kremlin, where the President was briefed on aspects of Russia’s historical and cultural heritage, including artefacts of national significance.
The delegation also visited the National Space Centre, where they were introduced to developments in space-related technologies and their broader applications in areas such as research, innovation, and economic development.
On the margins of the visit, the delegation held a courtesy meeting with Deputy Director General for International Cooperation of ROSCOSMOS, Mr Sergey Saveliev, and his team, during which views were exchanged on the evolving role of science and technology in supporting national development.
The President was accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora, Mr Barry Faure; the Chief of Staff, Presidential Affairs and Economic Advisor Ms Jeniffer Vel; the Principal Secretary of the Office of the President Ms Doreen Zelia; the Minister for Industry and Entrepreneurship, Ms Geralda Desaubin; the Minister for Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation, Ms Veronique Laporte; and the Minister for Youth and Sports, Ms Kalsey Belle.
