President Ramkalawan Extends Deepest Condolences Following Road Accidents

The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, has expressed his deepest sorrow following the tragic road accidents that occurred today, one of which has already claimed the lives of three Seychellois citizens.

On behalf of the Government and the people of Seychelles, President Ramkalawan has extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and loved ones.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the families who are mourning the loss of their loved ones. As a nation, we grieve with you and stand in solidarity during this painful moment,” the President said.

President Ramkalawan further conveyed his wishes of strength and a speedy recovery to all those who were injured in the accidents.

In his message, the President also appealed to all road users to exercise greater vigilance, responsibility, and care while on the roads. He stressed that road safety is a shared responsibility. “Each life lost on our roads is one too many. Let us all play our part to ensure that our roads are safe for everyone,” President Ramkalawan urged.

The Government remains in close coordination with the relevant authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding today’s tragic events and to continue reinforcing national road safety measures.
