President Ramkalawan commends Ambassador Adrienne as he bids farewell

The President of the Republic, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan received retiree, Ambassador Jean-Claude Adrienne at State House this afternoon, following his long years of service to the Republic of Seychelles.

President Ramkalawan conveyed his sincere appreciation to Ambassador Adrienne and thanked him for his dedication and professionalism throughout his forty-four years of service of which has been in the diplomatic service. He also expressed hope, that despite his retirement he will continue to contribute to the greater good of the country.

“It is an honour to welcome you here today as start your retirement.  On behalf of the Government and the people of Seychelles, I want to thank you for your hard work and devotion. During your tenure in the diplomatic service, you have immensely helped to strengthen and maintain the diplomatic relations between Seychelles and other countries, more recently in the United Arab Emirates. Though retiring, I am convinced that with your wealth of knowledge and expertise, you can assist the Foreign Affairs Department,” said the President.

The meeting was an opportunity for Ambassador Adrienne to share his experiences, share key moments as well as pertinent issues that required further follow-ups. To note that before his retirement, Ambassador Jean-Claude Adrienne was heading the Seychelles Embassy in Abu Dhabi for the past 6 years.
