President Danny Faure has today assented to the Immovable Property Tax Act, 2019, which was approved by the Cabinet on 18th September 2019, and gazetted on 12th December.  The Act was approved by the National Assembly on 18th December 2019 and received by the President on 26th December for his assent.

The Immovable Property Tax Act introduces an annual tax on immovable property owned by non-Seychellois, calculated at 0.25% of the assessed market value of the property.
