The new Ambassador for Georgia to Seychelles, H.E Ambassador Zurab Dhavalishvili, formally presented his credentials to President Danny Faure during an accreditation ceremony held at State House this morning.

The President extended a warm welcome and congratulations to Ambassador Dhavalishvili on his accreditation as the second Ambassador for Georgia to Seychelles, before proceeding to discuss existing and future areas of cooperation between the two states.

“Seychelles, a friend to all, is committed to working closely with Georgia to elevate our cooperation to new heights for the benefit of our two nations. Your accreditation presents an opportunity for our two nations to further enhance and boost bilateral ties. We especially look forward to working in the tourism and maritime sectors, both areas in which Seychelles can share its expertise and experience,” said President Faure.

Seychelles and Georgia established diplomatic relations on 15 March 2013.
