The Office of the President has announced that Judge Duraikannu Karunakaran called on President Danny Faure this morning to submit his letter of resignation as Judge, in accordance with the terms of Articles 131(c) and 131(2) of the Constitution of the Republic.

In accordance with the Constitution, his resignation takes effect immediately.
