President Faure has extended his condolences to H.E. Emmerson Mnangagwa, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, following the Idai cyclone. The cyclone has caused deaths, severe injuries and impacted structural damages.

“On behalf of the government and of the people of Seychelles, I wish to extend our most sincere sympathy to you personally, to the families of the victims, to those recuperating from this tragic ordeal and to the people of Zimbabwe.” said the President.

President Faure also affirmed the solidarity and fraternity on Seychelles’ part during this difficult time; “Today we stand in solidarity with our dear brother Zimbabwe and offer our prayers to each and everyone affected by this heart breaking disaster.”
