President Danny Faure received the Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Mr. Song Tao, at State House this afternoon.

President Faure welcomed Minister Song to Seychelles and expressed the appreciation of the Government and people of Seychelles for the contribution that China has made to the socio-economic development of the country.

Their discussions centred on the excellent relations that exist between Seychelles and China, the on-going projects that China is supporting Seychelles and development on the African Continent. He made mention of several infrastructural projects implemented such as the ‘Palais de la Justice’, the National Assembly building and Primary & Secondary schools, and housing.

He thanked the Minister for the support towards the financing of the new Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation building.
