The Office of the President has announced that Government has initiated the process of revocation of the Seychelles citizenship of Mr Radovan Krejcir, who has dual citizenship, and who is currently serving a 35-year prison sentence in South Africa.  His Seychelles citizenship is being revoked on grounds of his having brought Seychelles into disrepute through his criminal activities.

The President said he would also be taking measures to strengthen the regulatory framework within which Seychelles citizenship is granted.
