President James Michel has, by proclamation in the Official Gazette, and in accordance with Section 5 of the Public Holidays Act, declared Saturday 5th December 2015 as a Public Holiday.This will facilitate voting in the Presidential election on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue on that day.

Voters working on outlying islands will start going to the polls on Thursday 3^rd and  Friday 4^th December. The main polling day is Saturday 5^th December.
