In a message of condolence President James Michel expressed his great sadness and that of the Seychellois people to Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong following the demise of the founding father of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew.

President Michel noted that Mr Lee “will be remembered as the key figure in transforming Singapore into the global trade and great powerhouse that it is today.”

President Michel wished the family and friends of the late Mr Lee and the Singaporean people strength and fortitude in this hour of deep sorrow.
