Cabo Verde President Jorge Carlos de Almeida Fonseca paid a courtesy call on President James Michel at State House this morning.

President Fonseca arrived in Seychelles last night on transit as he heads back to Cabo Verde following his attendance of the 10th conference of the heads of state and government of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) in Dili in the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.

The two heads of state discussed upcoming international conferences on African affairs as well as Small Island Developing States, and reiterated their determination to improve cooperation between Seychelles and Cabo Verde.

President Fonseca was in Seychelles between 16-20th June for a state visit, where here was the guest of honour at the National Day celebrations
