April,18,2013-- President James Michel has appointed a new board for the Seychelles Energy Commission. The board is chaired by Mr. Wills Agricole, who is also the Principal Secretary for Environment and Energy. The appointment takes effect on 18th April 2013.

Following the repeal of the La Digue Development Fund Order, 1997, on the 21st February, 2013, the La Digue Development Board (LDDB) has ceased to exist, and a new La Digue Consultative Board has been set up to advise Government on the future development of the island.

The President has appointed Mr. René Morel as the Chairperson, and the Board composition is as follows:
