November 26,2012--president James Michel has appointed Mr. Wallace Cosgrow as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Agency for Social Protection. Mr. Cosgrow will take office as from November 26th 2012. Mr. Cosgrow replaces Mrs. Jacqueline Pierre, who passed away last week.

Wallace Cosgrow was previously the Director General for Civil Service Affairs in the Office of the Secretary of State for Cabinet Affairs since April 2012.

He holds a Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University of East London, UK.
Mr Cosgrow was employed in 2003 as a Senior Research Officer at the Department of Employment until 2005 when he transferred to the Department of Natural Resources as Economist. In 2010, Mr. Cosgrow returned to the Department of Employment and occupied the position of Director for Industrial Relations in the Labour Relations Division, where he remained until 2012.
