January 12 2011 -- Following recent amendments to the Central Bank of Seychelles Act on December 27, 2011,  President James Michel has appointed Ms. Caroline Abel as the First Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles.    Ms Abel was previously Deputy Governor of CBS. The appointment is with retrospective effect from December 27, 2011.

President Michel has also appointed Mr. Christophe Edmond as Second Deputy Governor with retrospective effect from January 1, 2012.  Mr. Edmond, previously Head of the Banking Services Division of CBS, has worked with the Central Bank of Seychelles for nine years.  

Mr. Pierre Laporte remains the Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles.
