NATO commander Rear Admiral Gualtiero Matessi called on President James A Michel at State yesterday to discuss capacity-building of regional naval officers and assistance in fighting piracy.

NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) launched Operation Ocean Shield in August 2009, as part of its contribution to international efforts to combat piracy off Somalia.
