September 3, 2010 -- President James Michel has re-appointed Niall Scully as the Chief Officer of the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDEA).
The appointment is effective 3rd September 2010.
Mr Scully was the NDEA Chief Officer between August 2008 and October 2009, and Deputy Commissioner of Police between November 2009-September 2010.
Mr. Scully's appointment follows the resignation of Mr. David Sheedy, who is leaving Seychelles due to other commitments. Mr. Sheedy was the Chief Officer of the NDEA since November 2009. Mr. Sheedy will remain a consultant to the NDEA until 31st October, for the handing over operations.Â
The post of Deputy Police Commissioner will remain vacant until further notice.
