The Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS), Ms. Caroline Abel, formally presented the CBS Annual Report 2024 to the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, during a meeting at State House on Monday, 31st March 2025.
The submission of the Annual Report is a statutory requirement under Section 47 (4) of the Central Bank of Seychelles Act 2004, providing an overview of the Bank’s financial performance, policy measures, and key economic developments over the past year. The report details CBS’ operations, monetary policy decisions, financial stability assessments, and the broader economic outlook for Seychelles.
During the meeting, Governor Abel briefed President Ramkalawan on the report’s key highlights, including Seychelles’ macroeconomic performance, challenges encountered during the year, and strategic measures implemented to ensure economic stability and resilience. Discussions also covered CBS’ policy direction for the upcoming year and its ongoing commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth.
President Ramkalawan commended CBS for its role in maintaining financial stability and contributing to national economic development. He reiterated the government’s dedication to working closely with CBS to ensure prudent economic management and a resilient financial sector.
In addition to the Annual Report, the CBS also submitted the International Reserves Management Report 2024 and the Financial Statements for the year ending 31st December 2024 to the Head of State.
The CBS Annual Report 2024 will be made publicly available via the Bank’s official website in line with its commitment to transparency and accountability.
