New Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Seychelles Receives Instruments of Appointment

The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan yesterday morning officially presented Ms. Cillia Mangroo her letter of instrument following her appointment as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Seychelles.

The appointment, made pursuant to Articles 63(1) and 64(1) of the Constitution of Seychelles, follows President Ramkalawan's proposition in November 2024 and subsequent approval from the National Assembly in December of the same year.

Ambassador Mangroo, brings extensive expertise in finance, economics, and international trade law to her new role. President Ramkalawan lauded her credentials as a valuable asset in advancing the nation's diplomatic agenda and extended his best wishes for her future endeavors.

Upon accepting the prestigious appointment, Ambassador Mangroo expressed her gratitude to President Ramkalawan for entrusting her with this significant responsibility. She affirmed her commitment to strengthening diplomatic cooperation and advancing Seychelles' interests on the international stage.

Also present during the meeting was the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde, and the Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Vivienne Fock-Tave.
