President Ramkalawan Hosts Farewell Meeting with Outgoing MCB Seychelles Managing Director

President Wavel Ramkalawan welcomed Mr. Bernard Jackson, the outgoing Managing Director of MCB Seychelles, for a farewell courtesy call at State House this morning. Mr. Jackson was accompanied by a high-level delegation from MCB, including Group CEO Mr. Jean Michel Ng Tseung, incoming Managing Director of MCB Seychelles Mr. Desire Leo, Head of Business Banking Mr. Dominic Provencal, and Marketing & Communication Manager Ms. Elaine Derjacques.

Mr. Jackson has been a banking professional with the MCB Group since 1999, beginning his career in the Strategy, Research & Development department as an analyst and advancing to a managerial position in 2005. In early 2008, he relocated from Mauritius to join MCB Seychelles as the Head of Finance, and in 2015, he was promoted to Managing Director.

At the outset, President Ramkalawan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Jackson for his many years of dedicated service to Seychelles. As the Patron of the Seychelles Island Foundation (SIF), the President also thanked Mr. Jackson for his contributions as a member of the SIF Board.

Today as you embark on a new chapter, with 16 years of service to MCB Seychelles and to our nation, we say thank you for all your hard work and support. You have been active in many spheres during your tenure and it has been a pleasure working with you. MCB Seychelles has grown considerably and achieved many milestones under your leadership. It is therefore our hope that this great partnership continues,” said President Ramkalawan.

The courtesy call also provided an occasion for MCB management to formally introduce Mr. Leo as the incoming Managing Director of MCB Seychelles. Discussions centered on strategies to enhance the bank's services and products, aimed at better serving the people.

Addressing the press following the meeting, MCB Group CEO Mr. Ng Tseung expressed gratitude to President Ramkalawan for his valuable advice and insights. He reaffirmed MCB's dedication to enhancing its services and exploring additional ways to positively contribute to the Seychelles community.
