President Ramkalawan receives Hungary's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade at State House

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, H.E. Mr. Péter Szijjártó, paid a courtesy call on President Wavel Ramkalawan at State House yesterday. He was accompanied by the Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Seychelles, H.E. Mr. Zsolt Mészàros and the Deputy State Secretary for Development of Southern Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Hungary, Mr. László Váradi.

The President welcomed Minister Szijjártó to Seychelles and expressed hope that discussions on various areas of cooperation and issues of mutual interest with high government officials here in Seychelles, will pave new avenues of cooperation and elevate the bilateral relations between Seychelles and Hungary to new heights.

President Ramkalawan also thanked the Hungarian government for hosting the Seychelles Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde, whilst on an official visit to their country in July this year.

The meeting was also an opportunity for the Head of State and Minister Szijjártó to further discuss the on-going scholarships programme as well as possibility of future expansion into economic cooperation. As such add greater impetus to the development of relations between the two countries.

Also present were the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde and the Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Vivianne Fock Tave.
