President Ramkalawan welcomes ISS Cambridge high achievement awards recipients

President Wavel Ramkalawan received young award recipients, Ayush Rai and Nicole Adam; two students of the International School of Seychelles (ISS), at State House yesterday. They were both accompanied by their parents.

Ayush and Nicole have both been recognised and remitted with Cambridge high achievement awards certificates after they both sat for A-Levels in the November 2020 examinations. Nicole secured the highest mark globally for Travel and Tourism, and Ayush scored the highest achievement award for Physics in Seychelles.

The President congratulated them for all the efforts they have put in their studies and in gaining excellent results. He wished them the best of luck in their future studies and endeavours.

“I wish to congratulate both of you for this achievement. You have indeed made us proud by being the best in Seychelles and internationally. This shows the efforts you have put in your studies and I hope that other students follow your examples. I wish both of you the best in your future studies and in everything that you intend to do,” said President Ramkalawan.

They both had a chance to share with the President their study plans for the future. Nicole is interested in furthering her studies at higher level in Tourism and Hospitality Management, whilst Ayush intends to in future follow a Bachelor in Physics, or an Integrated Masters in Physics.

Following the meeting with President Ramkalawan, Ayush and Nicole said that they did not expect such high results and that they are very satisfied with such achievements.
