Following the announcement in November 2020 that Praslin and La Digue would fall directly under the Office of the President, President Wavel Ramkalawan has today appointed Mr. Vincent Cedras as the Liaison Officer for Praslin. Part of Mr Cedras’ responsibilities will be to ensure effective consultation and improved communication for matters relating to Praslin Island.

Mr Cedras is a Praslinois and has extensive experience in the domain of structural design and project management. He is also the Chairperson of Special Olympics Seychelles.

In announcing this appointment, the President expressed hope that through the appointment of the new Liaison Officer who will report directly to State House, it will provide an open platform for concerns of citizens to be heard and swiftly addressed at the executive level.

Mr. Cedras’ appointment takes effect immediately.
