The Anonyme Views Housing Estate at Pointe Larue officially welcomes new residents

President Wavel Ramkalawan accompanined by Vice-President Ahmed Afif attended the official opening of the Anonyme Views Housing Estate at Pointe Larue yesterday afternoon.

The highlight of the event was the formal unveiling of the commemorative plaque by the President and the Minister for Lands and Housing (MLH), Mr Billy Rangasamy, to officially declare the estate open.

This estate forms part of the second phase of the Ex Albert Housing Estate at Pointe Larue. The 24 units which overlooks the Seychelles International Airport runway and Anonyme Island, comprised of 16 three-bedroom units and 8 two-bedroom units, at a cost of SR 32,200,993.46 (SR 28,629,100.80 for house construction and site works, plus SR 3,571,892.66 for STP and utilities supply/connection). 

Speaking at the event, Minister Rangasamy said, amidst the economic crisis and other countless challenges, the Government remains fervently committed in ensuring the availability of housing and land for Seychellois citizens is top priority on its agenda.

The Anonyme Views Housing Estate was built by FABSCO Construction Company who began their contract in April 2018 and completed early June 2021. Different factors has caused delays to the implementation of the project, such as difficult site constraints which required additional earthworks and retaining walls. As well as in ensuring the implementation of a Sewage treatment plant (STP) for the site.

The ceremony was also attended by the Minister for Housing and Land, Mr Billy Rangasamy, Member of the National Assembly for Pointe Larue, Hon. Conrad Gabriel, Principal Secretaries, District Administrators, MLH officials, members of the Point Larue Community, the new residents of the Anonyme Estate and other distinguished guests.
