President Wavel Ramkalawan, yesterday also welcomed members of the executive committee of Autism Seychelles at State House. The members presented President Ramkalawan with an overview of the work of the association and had the opportunity to raise pertinent concerns impeding their operation particularly vis-à-vis the Autism Learning Centre (ALC), located at North East Point.
President Ramkalawan reassured the delegation that their concerns remain at the top of Government’s agenda in ensuring all the necessary support is made available for the existing Autism Learning Centre to become operational as soon as possible.
The meeting was also an opportunity to the discussed the need to establish an appropriate governance structure to effectively oversee the successful development, management and longer term sustainability of the Autism Learning Centre (ALC).
Present for the meeting at State House was the Chairperson of the Association, Marie-Annette Ernesta, the Vice-Chairperson, Mrs Lynn Lavigne, the Secretary of the Association, Myrna Hoareau, the Treasurer Mr Rajesh Mathur and members Claire Gappy and Veronica Alphonse.
