The President of the Republic, H.E Wavel Ramkalawan chaired a follow-up meeting for the second review of concept plans for the new La Digue Hospital at State House, yesterday morning.
During the meeting, project Architect, Mr Paul Lesperance presented the updated concept plans following commentaries made by the Health technical team during the first meeting held on 7 December 2020.
The President confirmed that work is progressing swiftly and as soon as the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, the proposed concept for the hospital will be presented to the La Digue Community.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-President, Mr Ahmed Afif, the Minister for Health, Mrs Peggy Vidot, the Principal Secretary for Health, Dr. Bernard Valentin, the Public Health Commissioner, Dr Jude Gedeon and the CEO of the Health Care Agency, Dr Danny Louange.
