President Ramkalawan engages in meetings and visits key sites during State Visit in Mauritius

On the sidelines of his 3 day State visit in Mauritius, President Wavel Ramkalawan and his delegation engaged in a series of visits and meetings set to broaden cooperation and enhance bilateral ties in various domains.

As part of the programme to deepen the cultural ties, the delegation visited the Aapravasi Ghat World Heritage. He was received at the site by the Honourable Minister for Arts and Cultural Heritage.

From the cultural site the President also visited the two Coast Guards Vessels, Topaz and Etoile currently undergoing Dry Dock at Chantier Naval de l'Océan Indien in Mauritius. He was accompanied by the Commander of the Seychelles Coast Guard, Colonel Simon Dine.

The President also took the opportunity to meet some members of the Seychelles Diaspora living in Mauritius. He also met with a group of students currently undergoing their studies in Mauritius.

This morning, the President attended a Breakfast Business Meeting organised by the Economic Development Board of Mauritius under the theme 'Fostering Business Relations between Mauritius and Seychelles'.

Prior to his departure, the Presidential delegation also visited Le Morne Cultural Landscape World Heritage Site and paid a courtesy visit at Indian Ocean Commission Headquarters in Ebene.
