President Danny Faure received former musician Mr Serge Camille and his family at State House this morning, following a request from a citizen via letter to see Mr Camille through the media given the Christmas season.  

On behalf of this citizen and every Seychellois, President Faure commended Mr Camille for his popular song “Sa Kart Nwel”, a local Christmas classic. The President added, “You have given Seychelles a beautiful song that will endure forever”.

President Faure also presented Mr Camille with a Christmas gift. Mr Camille stopped performing ten years ago and now runs a business with his family.

Speaking to the media, Mr Camille expressed his appreciation for meeting with the President. He wished all Seychellois a wonderful Christmas and prosperous New Year and encouraged them to start 2020 on a bright and positive note.
