10^th December 2019, 9^th ACP Summit Heads of State and Government, Nairobi - President Danny Faure met with Hon. Nandcoomar Bodha Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade in Nairobi, Kenya in the margins of the Summit. It was an occasion for President Faure to congratulate Minister Bodha on his re-appointment after the peaceful and democratic elections of 7^th November 2019. 

President Faure was apprised on the joint commission meeting between Mauritius and Seychelles scheduled to be held in 2020. A wide range of topics would be discussed from law enforcement cooperation, notably capacity building for law enforcement officers, and the Blue Economy to maritime security, including collaboration in countering drug trafficking in the Indian Ocean.

The two sides agreed to work together and with the IOC to make the region an area of excellence for the development of the Blue Economy.
