The President of the Republic, Mr Danny Faure, received a group of retirees from the public service at State House this morning. The retirees included Mr Raymond Chang-Tave, Mr Roger Toussaint and Ambassador Phillippe Le Gall following many years of service in various sectors of Government.
President Faure welcomed the retirees to State House and on behalf of Government and the people of Seychelles expressed his appreciation for their dedication and commitment over the years in their respective chosen careers.
“Today, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to you all, for your dedication and loyalty. You have been exemplary and have displayed great professionalism in discharging your duties. We are grateful and honour your service” said President Faure.
Mr Raymond Chang-Tave has clocked 49 years of service in the public sector. He joined the then Survey Division in the 1970s, as a survey assistant where he has over the years undergone numerous training and climbed through the ranks to Principal Secretary, Special Advisor in the Ministry of Land Use and Housing and later as Consultant.
Mr Toussaint began his career as an Assistant Clerk in the Ministry of Agriculture. He has served in numerous capacity in government and is retiring after 46 years of service. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Public of Enterprise Monitoring Commission in 2016 and was later appointed Principal Secretary for Industry, Entrepreneurship Development and Business Innovation in July 2017 a post he held until his retirement.
Ambassador Phillippe Le Gall is career diplomat and has served in Public Service for 26 years. Upon retirement Amb. Le Galle was the High Commissioner for Seychelles in India. Prior to his career in Diplomacy Amb. Le Gall also held posts of Technical Advisor in the Ministry of Culture and Information and Special Advisor Ministry of Foreign Affair respectively.
The retirees were accompanied on their visit to State House by the Chief Secretary and Head of Public Service, Ms Jessie Esparon.
