The new ambassador of the United Mexican States to the Republic of Seychelles, Ambassador Erasmo Roberto Martinez, presented his credentials to President Danny Faure at State House this morning.
President Faure congratulated the new Ambassador on his appointment and acknowledged the importance that Seychelles attaches to the excellent bond of friendship that exists between the two countries. The President further expressed his wish that both countries strengthen cooperation in various sectors.
During their meeting, President Faure and Ambassador Martinez discussed the status on bilateral cooperation between Seychelles and Mexico, and areas of mutual interest especially on the international arena, such as environment conservation, climate change, the Blue Economy and disaster management.
Seychelles and Mexico established diplomatic relations on 1st June 1986. Ambassador Martinez will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
