The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr Danny Faure, received the Czech Ambassador to Seychelles, H. E. Mr Karel Hejč, for a farewell call at State House this morning.
As his term as Czech Ambassador to Seychelles comes to an end after four years, it was an opportunity for the Head of State to thank him for strengthening the bilateral ties between Seychelles and the Czech Republic during his tenure as Ambassador to Seychelles.
The President added that Ambassador Hejč has been very instrumental in the design of various cooperation, in terms of looking at the sectors of priority, such as in health.
During the meeting, Ambassador Hejč shared with the President some of his key achievements during his tenure as well as areas where the Czech Republic and the Republic of Seychelles can further cement their excellent relations. Sectors including, drug prevention and rehabilitation, health, tourism and agriculture.
Ambassador Hejč reassured the continuous support of the Czech Republic even at international level namely as a member of the European Union.
Mr Hejč was Prague’s sixth ambassador to Seychelles and he was appointed on 14th October 2014.
