In message addressed to H.E. Mr Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, President of the Republic of Cuba, President Danny Faure has expressed great shock and immense sadness following the tragic aeroplane crash which claimed over 100 lives shortly after take off from Havana Jose Marti airport.

President Faure said that the people of Seychelles share in the grief of the Cuban people following this tragedy and stand in solidarity at with them in this dark moment.

“I remain convinced your Excellency that the resilient spirit and unity of the Cuban people will serve to further fortify the foundations of your nation’s perseverance which will be instrumental in helping Cuba heal following this disaster,” said President Faure.
