H.E. Brigadier General Mosese Tikoitoga was accredited as the new High Commissioner of Fiji to Seychelles following the formal presentation of his accreditation documents to President Danny Faure at State House this morning.
President Faure welcomed H.E. Brigadier General Mosese Tikoitoga to the shores of Seychelles and congratulated him on his accreditation through which the two island nations can continue to work together in areas of common interest.
“It is a pleasure to meet with you and your delegation, and renew Seychelles' resolute commitment for the development of a more constructive relationship between Seychelles and Fiji,” said President Faure.
President Faure also commended Fiji for the leading role it is playing in the environmental conservation arena and pledged Seychelles’ full support to further the cause, particularly in relation to climate change and other SIDS programmes.
Other areas of potential cooperation discussed included the exchange of technical skills and further enhancing the tourism sector.The new High Commissioner of Fiji to Seychelles will be based in Ethiopia.
He was accompanied to State House by Fijian first Secretary, Mr Sisalo Levaci Otealagi.
Also present during the accreditation ceremony was the Diplomatic Advisor to the President, Ambassador Calixte D’Offay, and Principal Secretary for the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Michelle Murray.
