President Danny Faure was presented with the report of the commission of inquiry into the circumstances associated with the death of Dylan Jean-Eve Savio Rose by Justice of the Court of Appeal Bernardin Renaud at State House this afternoon.
The commission was established on 30 May 2017 by President Faure in exercise of his powers under the Commissions of Inquiry Act (Cap 39).
The purpose of the inquiry was to establish the full facts of the case, and to learn lessons to help ensure that such tragedies do not recur.
During the meeting, in the presence of the Minister for Family Affairs, Mrs Jeanne Simeon, President Faure thanked Justice Renaud for taking the time to work on the report and making recommendations.
The report will be presented at the next Cabinet Meeting, following which it shall be made public.
