The Prime Minister of the Republic of India, His Excellency Narendra Modi, is to pay an Official Visit to the Republic of Seychelles. Prime Minister Modi will be in Seychelles from the 10th to the 11th of March as part of a tour of four Indian ocean Islands.
Prime Minister Modi will lead a delegation comprising high-level dignitaries on his tour of the Indian Ocean. Seychelles will be the Prime Ministers first stop.
The Prime Minister will meet with his counterpart President James Michel and other members of Government where both the historic ties shared between the two nations will be strengthened and new avenues of cooperation will be explored.
Three separate agreements are to be signed between Seychelles and India during the visit.
Seychelles and India established diplomatic relations on the 29th June 1976. Mr Modi will be the second Indian Prime Minister to visit Seychelles after H.E. Indira Ghandi's visit in 1981.
