President James Michel received Mr. Gabriel Murtisse, Minister of Transport and Communication and Special Envoy of the President of Mozambique this morning at State House. Mr. Murtisse presented Mr. Michel with a letter from President Armando Guebuza and discussed the situation in Mozambique in relation to recent developments there.

The President committed Seychelles' support to the Government of Mozambique and to SADC in finding a peaceful solution to the crisis which has arisen in Mozambique.

To note, President Michel visited Mozambique in August 2012 in order to attend the 32nd Southern African Development Community Ordinary Summit of the Heads of State and Government in Maputo.
