Secretary Of State In The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs

As part of the efforts to boost the capacity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the build up to Seychelles’ UN Security Council bid in 2016,

Ambassador Barry Faure will be transferring from his current role as secretary of State in the Office of the President, to Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, effective 17th December, 2012.

Seychelles’ increased engagement on the international arena has increased the need for high level representation by Seychelles at a number of international fora.

In his capacity as Secretary of State at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Faure will be working directly to support the Minister in the bid for the Security Council and his appointment will expand the reach of Seychelles’ diplomatic efforts.

Ambassador Faure’s experience will contribute substantially to the campaign, while also providing invaluable support to the Ministry’s objectives as a whole.
