Mr Rugangazi, Rwanda’s new ambassador to Seychelles

The new, and second, ambassador of Rwanda to Seychelles, Mr Benjamin Rugangazi, was accredited yesterday.

After presenting his credentials to President James A Michel at State House, ambassador Rugangazi told the national media that both Rwanda and Seychelles were targeting tourists from the high end of the market. He said the two countries would work towards jointly offering their unique products.

Tourism was one of the topics discussed with President Michel.

“We have identified promotion of tourism as one of the areas of cooperation we can work on because for both Seychelles and Rwanda tourism is the main economic activity,” he said.

Rwanda’s big tourist attraction is the rare mountain gorilla, while Seychelles has the most beautiful beaches and islands, the giant land tortoises and the largest nut, the coco de mer,  added the ambassador.
