President James Michel is attending the 19th session of the Assembly  of the African Union summit which is being  held at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia under the theme, “Boosting intra-African trade”.

The summit of African leaders will, amongst other important matters, be electing the Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union  and a number of other Commissioners.

The African Union summit is also expected to thoroughly discuss the current situation prevailing in Africa and adopt a number of decisions and the declaration of the Assembly.
