February 21 2011 -- Officials from several United States government departments who have been training Seychelles Petroleum (SEPEC) technicians interpreting and processing seismic data called on Vice-President Danny Faure last Friday.

Group leader Craig Wandrey from the US Department of Geology, said after the meeting that his country would help Seychelles in offshore safety inspection, revenue collection and other fields.

The US State Department would also be offering legal advice to ensure Seychelles conforms to the regulations, he added.
