December 9, 2010 -- The time has come for us to re-invest in our people and share with them the fruits of success, Vice-President and Finance and Trade Minister Danny Faure said on Tuesday when he delivered the 2011 Budget Speech before the National Assembly.
He said budget 2011 sought to reward the people for their role in turning round the economy.
"Next year the government will increase its allocation to priority sectors that will benefit all Seychellois," noted the VP.
More money will go into programmes that will help improve the lives of "our citizens who have struggled to bring Seychelles where it is today".
The VP said government remained committed to improving the social sector, particularly health, education, social services, housing, community development, social programmes, benefits and approved programmes for the Social Security Fund.
