October 20, 2010 -- Austria's new ambassador to Seychelles, Mr Christian Hasenbichler has said his country hopes to continue offering scholarships to Seychellois to study hotel management.

Mr Hasenbichler presented his credentials to President James Michel at State House yesterday.

"Austria has helped Seychelles in tourism, especially in hotel management training, and we hope to continue offering scholarships in these areas," he said.

The eighth Austrian ambassador to Seychelles also said his country hopes to sign an agreement with Seychelles on avoidance of double taxation.

He is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
