"Your Excellency,

It is with profound sadness that we have learnt of the multiple bomb blasts in Uganda which occurred on Sunday 11th July.

In the wake of this tragedy, the government and people of Seychelles join me in expressing our heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to you, to the government and people of Uganda, as well as to the families of the victims.

Our thoughts are with every Ugandan at this very difficult moment of national grief.

Seychelles and Uganda have a special relationship, and I have no doubt that through our common effort, especially via the vehicle of the African union, the friendly relations between our two countries will be further strengthened for the prosperity and progress of our two countries."
