"As we celebrate Defence Forces Day, on behalf of the country and on my personal behalf, I wish to express our deep appreciation and salute our men and women in uniform for their continous pledge to serve our nation.
We often overlook the sacrifices you make, the hard work this domain entails, and the perseverance required in this noble profession. However, please note that we truly appreciate your commitment and engagement.
Let this day be a reminder of your oaths and renewed commitment towards your duties as we continue to find ways to improve the Seychelles Defence Force (SDF) resources, increase capacity building opportunities and building a more disciplined and competent force.
May we continue to work together to instill the right values and level of professionalism that will ensure Seychelles Defence Force remains a military force that is respected, inpiring but most of all dedicated to serving Seychelles and it's people.
The country is immensely proud of your effort, and today, we celebrate the achievements and look ahead to greater advancements.
