The President of the Republic, Dr. Patrick Herminie, extends his heartfelt condolences to the management and staff of the Ministry of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation following the recent loss of several dedicated colleagues from Air Seychelles, the Seychelles Ports Authority, and the Seychelles Public Transport Corporation.
Among those mourned are Mrs. Dorina Victor and Mr. André Macgaw, who devoted decades of service to Air Seychelles and proudly carried the Creole Spirit throughout his distinguished career; Mr. Christian Soomery, a highly respected harbour pilot who served the Seychelles Ports Authority with distinction for more than 16 years; and Mr. Leroy Leon, a committed and dependable driver whose contribution was valued by his colleagues and the wider sector.
These committed professionals made exemplary contributions to the safe operation and development of our transport sector, and their dedication to national service will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude.
The President extends his heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, and colleagues, and assures them that they do not grieve alone. The thoughts and prayers of the nation are with them during this time of sorrow.
President Herminie also extends his sympathies to all Seychellois families who are mourning the loss of loved ones at this time, reaffirming that in moments of grief, our strength as a nation lies in unity, compassion, and shared humanity.
