Vice President Vincent Meriton chaired a scheduled meeting of the Cabinet on Wednesday 15th January, at which a number of legal memoranda were considered.
Cabinet approved for Seychelles to ratify the African Medicines Agency Treaty.
Cabinet approved for Seychelles to ratify the Montreal Protocol 2014 to amend the Tokyo Convention on offences and certain other Acts committed on board aircraft, done at Montréal on 4 April 2014 (Doc 10034) and subsequently to expeditiously and effectively revise Seychelles’ national laws and regulations to deal effectively with the problem of unruly and disruptive passengers, taking into account the relevant international conventions, the Protocol, and legal guidance provided by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
Cabinet also approved for the proclamation of an annual week of national safe boating. The week will be marked in mid-August and will be called the “National Safe Boating Week”.
Cabinet approved amendment to certain fees payable by international business companies (IBCs) as provided for under the International Business Companies Act 2016, Second Schedule.
