President James Michel met the newly crowned Miss Seychelles… another world 2013, Ms. Agnes Gerry, accompanied by the 1st and 2nd princess, Ms. Isha Hoareau and Ms. Lindy Barallon, this morning at State House.
The President expressed his congratulations to all three ladies and expressed words of encouragements for Ms. Gerry who will be participating in the Miss World Beauty Pageant, which will be held in Bali in Indonesia on 28th September 2013.
“Seychelles is very proud of your achievements. Ms. Gerry, we count on you to shine in the Miss World Beauty Pageant competition. Make the most of the opportunities and assistance to prepare yourself and develop your confidence, believe in what you want to achieve. I wish you every success,” said President Michel.
During the meeting the three beauty pageant winners shared their experiences of taking part in the Miss Seychelles… Another world 2013, and Ms. Gerry’s upcoming participation in the Miss World Beauty Pageant.
“Becoming Miss Seychelles 2013 has changed my life in certain ways and I am still getting used of the title, and with the help required, I know I can make it. Meanwhile I’m preparing myself for the Miss World beauty pageant, and I’m participating in different community activities,” said Ms. Gerry.

• Isha Hoareau was crowned first princess and won other titles such as Miss Personality and Miss Photogenic.
• Lindy Barallon, who was also the winner of the ‘People’s Choice’ award, was crowned second princess.
